Seeking an associate attorney to work at the Law Offices of Charles L. Kurmay in Milford, CT who is seeking a long-term position in a sophisticated litigation practice in which to grow and eventually become partner. The Office handles a variety of complex litigation cases that include criminal, civil, and probate law in both state and federal courts, in Connecticut and elsewhere. The associate will work under the direction of Chuck Kurmay, the Firm’s founder, retired Probate Judge and Probate Court Administrator, F. Paul Kurmay, as well as our senior associate, Jamie L. Ottaviano.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. They will consistently produce high quality work product with substantial attention to detail in order to achieve long term client goals. They should be able to work independently and manage their time productively, although support and mentoring is always available, and questions are encouraged. The associate filling this position will have a proven track record of exercising sound judgment.
Necessary Requirements
The ideal candidate must have at least two years litigation experience trying cases to apply and strong brief writing skills. Admission to the Connecticut State and Federal Bars is required.

The working hours generally fall in the range of forty to fifty hours per week. However, associates may need to work longer hours as the needs of a case are assessed to meet deadlines, particularly in the event of trial.

Kurmay in Milford and Madison, CT who is either currently attending an accredited law school or has recently graduated from one.
